The word "declassified" means to officially declare information; to be no longer secret. And that is what we hope to do here in Victorious Homeschool - we want homeschooling to be DECLASSIFIED, accessible, and deeply understood by all Filipino families.
Homeschooling, a non-traditional learning method or as DepEd defines it, an ADM (Alternative Delivery Mode) of education has been proven to be a better education system for children by many homeschoolers in the Philippines as well as in in many parts of the world. According to the National Home Education Research Institute, homeschoolers score up to 30% higher on tests than traditionally schooled students. In addition, a great number of homeschooled children perform at least one or more steps above their age group.
The commitment, flexibility and parental involvement given to homeschooled kids help them to be more successful and confident in their academics, interactions, and in their everyday life.
Homeschoolers are more likely to be “well-rounded” students in terms of extracurricular activities. On average, research shows homeschoolers do well on social, emotional and psychological measures outside of the home as well.
Most importantly, homeschooling allows parents to embed faith, social and family values at a young age. To most parents who chose this path, homeschooling is the best way to educate children.
“The home is the first and most effective place to learn the lessons of life: truth, honor, virtue, self-control, the value of education, honest work and the purpose and privilege of life. Nothing can take the place of home in rearing and teaching children, and no other success can compensate for failure in the home.” -David O. McKay
